I'm thankful for the beautiful natural world that surrounds me. No matter what is going on in my life, going outside and seeing the plants and the little critters puts a smile on my face.

I am thankful for this man coming into my life. I met him at a place I worked and he stepped up and said that if I wanted to do something to go for it and he will back me. Since he has walked into my life I have been on many vacations, bought a house as well as completing my Masters Degree. I am stiving for a better career and looking to continue my education for a PHD. I would have never gone for this as my boyfriend I had would not let me continue with an education and had told me I could not suceed in a job to make more than minimum wage.

My Grandpa and I planted these beautiful trees when I was 8. He helped me plant these trees, but also planted knowledge and words of wisdom within my soul. Every time I walk out of my front door and see these radiant, almost heavenly looking plants, memories of him flood my thoughts, and overwhelm me with joy and fills my heart with thankfulness. So even though he is gone, as well as these trees will be someday, Grandpa's influence and wisdom will never wither nor fade, but will live on and forever live inside my soul.

I don't have a lot to be thankful for in my 26 years of life. But I have a new found sense of hope. I've learned to appreciate the small blessings. The day I took this kitten in wasn't a day I'd otherwise want to remember. But at the 11th hour, this little guy brought a smile to my face. And reminded me why I have hope.

I am most thankful for my beautiful parents! As my siblings and I like to call them "the rents"! They are the two most influential, inspiring and encouraging people in my life! I can thank them for the sacrifices they've made for me as well as their unconditional love and support. All of which has made me the person I am today. They are always pushing us to follow our dreams and reach for the stars. As a result, I am living one of my dreams! I recently went through the admissions process and have been accepted to FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising! This means moving across the country and they are behind me 100%! They're the greatest and I wouldn't trade them for anyone or anything!

My parents also encouraged me to enter this contest! They know how much it means to me to be able to attend FIDM! They also know how much I need money to go!

Christmas morning is always exciting but this Christmas was the best I always wanted a puppy but my mom's answer was always no! Well when I seen this beatiful dog under the tree I instantly fell in love. Her name is Bella because to me she is absolutely beautiful. She is always happy to see me, Bella will take a nap with me she is so cozy and cute. Bella gives the greatest love a dog can give someone she loves to play. She gives me and the rest of my family great joy! Bella brought sunshine into out life's and for this I am very very thankful to her and my mom for getting her for me.

I'm thankful for my daughter, Jane Clare, seen here on her graduation from high school in May 2009. She is now a freshman in college studying to be a Physical Therapist. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful, intelligent, hard-working child. I pushed her very hard while she was growing up to be all she could be because I wanted her to have everything she wanted in life. I want her to know I am very thankful for everthing she turned out to be and I love her more than anything.

I am thankful for my babies. After suffering the devastating loss of our baby girl four years ago and then being told that we could no longer conceive, my husband and I thought our son would remain an only child. God definitely had plans for him to become a big brother. In September of this year, He brought us this little blessing.

Not afraid of pumpkins... anymore!

Fall is a big deal in our home. We love fall leaves, football, spiced wafers, pie and everything autumn. I dreamed of taking the perfect fall photo of our little pumpkin, surrounded by, well, pumpkins. Our little one felt differently. The sight of the giant pumpkins inside the patch totally freaked him out. I couldn't get him near a pumpkin for weeks. This photo became an instant classic to our family and we dubbed it the "There's not a pumpkin behind me... is there?" shot.

After a difficult pregnancy and delivery, we consider ourselves uniquely blessed with our sweet boy and we're glad he's not afraid of pumpkins anymore. Now clowns are another story.
