Hi,
My name is Judy and I am saving for my two children Sarah & Jon. Still trying to figure out all the saving advantages. Guess there's a learning curve here. Thanks for this program.

Hello, ny name is Tyler and I am saving for my two kids. I am getting the hang of using UPromise and the savings are adding up fast. Too bad the community and UPromise support seem very, very slow, is this because Citibank sold off UPromise to Bank of America?

Citibank never owned UPromise. UPromise was recently acquired by Sallie Mae. Citibank was a contributing company like all of the other companies listed here, but there was a decision somewhere (whether it was on Citi's side or UP's side) that the partnership wouldn't continue anymore, so BoA picked up where Citi left off basically.
As for the liveliness of the community... post and they will come. ![]()

Thank you for the update, just so I know, it seems as the new posts all came on a Sunday, is this the norm? If so, I'll keep that in mind as being the day I can catch you "experienced" UPromers.

You know, I've never really tracked it, but I thought weekdays tended to be the busier times (probably while people are being inefficient at work
).

LOL......hahahhahaaaa, you know....as management, I catch my "kids" (this is what I call my staff) all the time. I told them I appreciated that they tried to click away from the internet as soon as I arrive, but I already know wassup. Actually, I catch one kid on UPromise all the time, she has her account linked to her student loan account and she finds good deals. As for myself, my vacation is almost over, so I will be one of those who don't respond during normal business hours.

Hi, I'm very glad that I found out about this place! I've registered all our grocery store, debit, and credit cards. I've already done some web shopping thru the site, too. We're saving for our daughter, who is only 16 months old now, but we're sure she'll grow up before we know it. We wanted to go ahead and get started, and not put it off. I just got approved for the credit card, so hopefully we'll really be able to pile on the savings now!

Hey tilleycs, welcome. Great to have you with us in the Upromise Community. From what you've posted, it looks like you know what you're doing.
Let me know if I can ever be of help. You'll also find many other members here who are terrific resources as well.
Enjoy!
Jeff

I want to know if my credit card is registered do I automatically receive earnings everytime I use it? Do I have to do something special beforehand? I have a conference to attend and would like to use it to pay for the registration fee.

medcra2, here's a couple of things that should help. First, if you shop online you don't have to use a registered credit card. Just always make sure you start your shopping at Upromise.com before clicking through to a participating retailer.
For our partners who offer college savings from in-store purchases, eligible grocery items or at participating Upromise Dining restaurants, then you you do need to first register your credit card on Upromise.com
Also know that if you're using the Upromise credit card then you automatically receive 1% college savings every time you use it, regardless if you're shopping with a Upromise partner. Information on that can be found here.
Lastly, click here to see our how-it-works page and of course post here in the community with any other questions.
