A Gift For My Husband--A Moment To Treasure

I have been married for almost 22 years now. I have 2 boys; one 21 yrs old, and an 11 yr old. I used to get flowers, jewelry, and cards for Valentines Day from my husband. As the years past, I would tell my husband not to bother because it is just another day for me. One day before Valentines day, we went to CVS to the card isle. My husband picked out a card and handed it to me and said "here, read this". So I did and handed it back. I told him it was a beautiful card. He turned to me and said, "that's your Valentines card" and put it back! (My husband is a jokester and keeps me smiling everyday) To this day, we make it a ritual to repeat the process. It saves money (it's only another thing to pack away and forget), but it's something we do together.

Now, to a gift that I would love to get for my husband (even though this is a contest for the most romantic gift suggestion). My oldest enlisted in the Navy last April but was discharged for a heart condition. He married a beautiful girl before he left and I couldn't be happier for them.  My daughter-in-law is in the Navy so they must stay in California for the next 3 years. My husband and son are very close and it has been almost a year since he has seen him. My "wish gift" for my husband would be to surprise him with round-trip airfare to see his boy!  Chocolate, flowers, cards, or jewelry...the norm; seeing the look on his face knowing he will see his son again..."priceless"!

By the way, I would use Southwest Airlines. Very friendly and professional!
