Welcome to the Upromise Summer Fun Photo Contest!  Submit your best summer fun photo between now and 9/9 for a chance to win a trip for four to Mexico (see details below).

Here's the deal:

1) First, be sure to read the complete contest rules attached below.

2) Head on over to the contest page, submit your best summer fun photo* along with a brief caption of 20 words or less.

3) Vote for an entry other than your own in order to be eligible to win (again, be sure to read the attached document detailing the complete contest rules).

And then here's what will happen next:

The ten entries that receive the highest number of votes (or credits) between now and 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 9, 2009 will be the finalists.  And an internal panel of judges will then select a winner, to be announced on or about September 16, 2009.

*This is how to submit a photo:

First, click the "New Entry" button.

Second, click the image upload icon

Third, write a caption of 20 words or less and click the post button in the lower right corner.

And finally, be sure to vote/credit at least one entry other than your own.  You can vote for an entry in the gallery where you see all of the photos displayed together (see example 1 below).  Or click on the photo and then vote for it (see example 2).  Here are the two icons you can click to submit your vote:

mamah, I'm wondering if you clicked the "insert a video" icon by accident.  If that's the case then your photo won't display.  Please give it another try (you can edit your current) entry.  If that doesn't work then I'll do some more investigating.

i tried to post twice, and still says Image Not Found.  I see the image when I post it....help!!!

Can I remove a pic that I posted? I just realised the rules said one photo, my daughters EACH wanted their favorite photo posted. I have two pics up. Can you help?

All, it's important that when posting a contest entry, you click on the "insert/edit image" button before posting your entry.  Once your photo has been inserted, then click the "post" button.

If anyone is having any other issues entering a photo, please let me know and I'll do my best to help.

my photos not showing up either. Tried to edit it twice and still nothing

After you select the picture you want to use from your computer, you must WAIT a few second (10-30 seconds, depending on how fast your connection is) until you see a small sample of the image appear BEFORE you click "POST". 

Hopefully that will help most of you.

jaydynmom, can you describe what's happening when you try to insert a photo?  That will help me figure out what the issue is.

Holly, when you're looking at a photo, just click on one of the blue and white star buttons above it.  I've described it in my blog post above, with some pictures to point you in the right direction.  But please keep in mind that you can only vote for someone else's photo, not your own.

Teh toolbar will not highlight. Tried everyting to upload the photo. What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out. The toolbar is above the text. Now, why does the photo have an X on it?

Hi tripletmom3, that means your photo is not uploaded or inserted within the post.  Two things may have happened.  When you started your contest entry post, you may not have waited for it to fully insert before clicking on the "insert image" button (a comment from member Luidavinci above contains the same thought).  Or the file size of the photo may have been too large.

My suggestion is to go to your entry (I've included a link to it below), then click on the "entry options" link above your post, then select "Edit entry". Now be sure to click the "insert/edit image" icon above the message body and  wait until your photo has fully uploaded/inserted, and then click the post button. With that you should be all set.

Jean,

You click on the star to place your vote or "give a credit" to a certain picture.  You can't vote for your own picture and must vote for at least one other person's entry picture to be eligible.
