Not getting credit when using Upromise codes?

Back in May/June, I made purchases from Target.com and from Hanes.com.  I used coupon codes or sale promotions from the Upromise website, and then more recently I had a purchase from USAFlorist.com for flowers for my grandfather's funeral...

I didn't get my contributions, so I filled out the online form 2-3 months later as told to do... my answer to these missing contributions was that since I received a discount, then I wasn't eligible for Upromise contributions too.  BUT I DID USE COUPONS ADVERTISED ON TH UPROMISE WEBSITE, so I don't understand how that disqualifies me???

Target was offering buy 2 pair of flip flops get one free on Upromise, no coupon code neccessary... Target automatically figured the discount at checkout, but yet that disqualifies my purchases?

Hanes.com was offering $5 off for every $25 spent on Upromise; I used the coupon code from the Upromise website, and that disqualifies me?

USAFlorist.com was offering $5 off any flower purchase on Upromise and that disqualifies me?

I don't get it???  And I am quite frustrated and about to give up on Upromise altogether... there are too many websites out there that offer cash back savings for shopping online to bother with being told that we can use the coupons on the Upromise website, but then when you do, you're told that using the coupon disqualifies you from recieving contributions.

And than, on top of all of that, we switched to DirecTV to get the Upromise savings of $50... used the number that Upromise provides to get us signed up, but today I got an email after registering our account number that we didn't sign up at XXXX website or XXXX phone number... BUT WE DID!!!  What in the worlkd is going on here???  Why is UPromise not honoring the contributions that they have posted on the website that this is a coupon you can use, or if you go through this process, you can get X amount in savings, but then they tell you that you DON'T because you didn't do something that you DID indeed do???

Re: Not getting credit when using Upromise codes?

Twinboys2002, I'm sorry to hear about these frustrating experiences.  Unfortunately, with all the transactions that are processed, mistakes are sometimes made.  But we abolutely want to see you succeed with the program as much as possible.  Customer Care is looking into the DirecTV issue and we'll be in touch with you about that shortly.  And adjustments are currently being made to your account for the Target.com, Hanes.com and USAFlorist.com purchases.  You'll see the college savings in your account related to those transactions no later than Tuesday.

Thank you for pointing this out.  And again, we apologize for the frustration this has caused.

Thanks,
Jeff
