CVS

You don't get contributions for all of your purchases at CVS (or any grocery/drugstore) - only for select items.  Also, it is your CVS card that gets you the CVS credit, not a linked credit card.

Re: Not too thrilled w/ UPromise...

It's still all too chincy, IMHO.  I just don't feel like UPromise is doing anything for me after seeing a couple of dollars go in and WHAMMO, there's the $20 yearly fee for my linked 529 account.  It pretty much wipes out anything accumulated during the quarter or third leading up to it.  I track my spending quite a bit and do my best to support those supporting education and UPromise doesn't give me any warm & fuzzies anymore like it did in the beginning...

Something strange is afoot at the local Circle K...

Re: Not too thrilled w/ UPromise...

...and you know what else chaps me?  Their invitation says,

• Join Upromise for free.

• Look for the Upromise logo on items and store shelves.*

• Use your registered grocery or drugstore card at checkout.

• Save 1% to 5% on thousands of items.

...so you go to the link and what do you see?  Thousands?  Nope.  Even after clicking the "more" hyperlinks for each section the total is more like 200 or 300.  I could give an exact amount but I'm in the middle of quite a few different things right now!

Can't blame Uprom, all companies are trying to cut costs.  Downside of being a public company is pleasing shareholders and regulators.
