E-coupons posting slow

Why does it take longer for e-coupon rewards to post than the regular contribution from the same item?  I recently bought some charmin tolit paper and the regualar 1% posted but the ecoupon i used still has not.  All the e-coupons i have every used always post later than everything else. Why is that?

I'm thinking that it's because the source of the contributions might be different.  The grocery store (or is it the brand?) pays the 1% and someone else (I think maybe UPromise) pays for the eCoupon.  I could be wrong though....

I just got credit for 2 e-coupons. They showed pending 2 days after the posting for the purchase, and only 14 day after I made the purchase. Lots quicker than the advertised 60 days.
