This week's list is a biggie. In fact, it's so big that we're separating it into two posts! Today I'll let you in on the sales that are ending the 9th and 10th, but you'll have to check back tomorrow to get the deals for the rest of the week!

In the meantime, I need your feedback because I don't know what it is lately, but there seems to be an awful lot of sales going on. This is great for you and me, but I'm starting to feel like these lists are getting (and continuing to stay) really long.

So, what do you think? Do you prefer that I bring you all the fashion-related sales once per week, or would you prefer that I focus on several stores and just bring you the items I feel are simply the best?  Leave a comment and weigh in; I'll be taking your thoughts in to consideration for my next sale blog entry.

Alright, for the next three sales, you'll have to act fast - these deals end tomorrow (the 9th)!

  • Take 15% off any order at Yves Rocher using coupon code YR15OFF.
  • At American Eagle, all tops are Buy One Get One HALF OFF; this should please the teens in your house!
  • Ann Taylor LOFT has new markdowns and you can score stuff at up to 60% off right now.
  • Over at Martin + Osa - one of my faves! - you can take up to 40% off.

Ending April 10th we've got LOTS of goodies.

Armani Exchange will let you enjoy a whopping $50 off every $150 order (excluding eyewear and watches).

Shopping for Mother's Day Gifts? Check out the clearance sale going on at Zales where you can take an extra 30% off already reduced prices. I am quite fond of:

Oh, decisions, decisions........

At Avon.com, you can take advantage of free standard shipping on $10+ and $20+ orders with coupon codes SPRING910 and SPRING920 respectively. I can personally attest to their product lines being very cute and holding up well.  I have made multiple purchases from them - both clothing and bags - and it truly is a whole bunch of bang for very little buck.

Try the Gem Accented Knit top which is very summery and has a touch of boho chic going on.  Their Whipstich Buckle Handbag will easily go from spring to summer to fall. Need something smaller just to run errands with? Try the Hand Beaded Clutch for less than $20. And while I would not invest much in their metallic jewelry, I would grab anything beaded, such as the Geometric Long Jet Bead Necklace. Their jewelry is well constructed and their clasps hold up to tugging and pulling, so even if you have a small child at home, you can wear it without fear of it being yanked off your neck and beads rolling everywhere.  If you're looking for a strictly summer, fresh and flirty accessory, these Brilliant Brights will do the trick - don't forget the matching chandelier earrings.  These would also make affordable - and stylish - Mother's Day Gifts.

Speaking of which, if you're in to buying jewelry for mom, hsn.com will give you up to 40% off their new gemstone lines in their Spring Gem Events.  I've mentioned before that I have a friend with a serious hsn.com shopping addiction. I'm telling you, their stuff is actually really nice. I happen to be partial to the Cultured Freshwater Pearl Cuff Bracelet on sale for $49; it's feminine yet not invisible and a great statement piece for the mom that's not quite ready to be all-out sassy.

If you're looking to really rock her socks, try this 1.16ct Sapphire and Diamond Ring in 10K white gold - wowza! Going for unusual and original? Then the Cultured Cranberry Freshwater Pearl Necklace will be perfect.

Let's see, what else is ending on the 10th? Delias.com offers 15% off any order with coupon code APR15.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the rest of this week's stellar sales!

Women's Tshirts :: How to Care for Women's Tshirts

by on 03-10-2009 03:45 PM - last edited on 03-11-2009 12:08 PM

The Plain White T's are more than just a band; they're a staple in every woman's closet.

The problem? Pit stains and that ugly gray tint.

You know you've got 'em. So how do you get rid of them?  Or, at best, keep them at bay?

Here's some tips and tricks to keep your tshirts pearly white.

1. Don't overload your washer. With the invention of the front-loader, it's tempting to cram as much as you can in to your washing machine. But avoid the temptation!  And only put whites in - no pastels, no prints.

2. Wash your whites in warm water. Say what?!?  Yes, cold water saves money and electricity, but it's not the best thing for keeping your tshirts white and bright. According to the International Fabricare Institute, detergents overwhelming do a better job of getting your clothes clean when they are used with warm water.

3. If your tshirt is some exotic blend that requires dry cleaning, suck it up and go to the dry cleaner. Of course, we all know that my preference is to avoid dry cleaning all together.

4. To actually remove that sweat stain, use a combo of baking soda, peroxide, and water (1/4 cup each) and make a paste. Use an old toothbrush to scrub it in to the sweat stain and let it dry. Wash as normal.

Incidentally, and completely off subject, you can use the same mix + 1/4 cup dish detergent to get the skunk smell out of your dog if he or she gets sprayed.

Need to find the perfect stain stick? Look no further, I've got you covered with a wide selection, available through Upromise Online Shopping.
