In fact, if you’re savvy, you can pull together a fully functional wardrobe via eBay for a fraction of what you would pay at the department stores.
I’ll admit, when I first think of eBay, I don’t think of clothing. Handbags maybe, but definitely not clothes. Yet there is a host of eBay stores that do nothing by scour the biggest and best consignment shops in the largest cities to bring designer clothes to this virtual mega-store.
Why not take advantage?
All you have to do is go to eBay and do a search. Look for clothes by your favorite designer, or even look for a brand that you already know fits you; this is especially helpful if you’re relatively new to buying clothes online.
Or, branch out. Do a generalized search for designer clothes. You will be absolutely astounded at the results.
Many of these auctions are sold in lots which means you get multiple pieces for your purchase price. Sometimes this can work out to be a really great deal, but if you’re only looking to fill in a few holes in your wardrobe, consider purchasing singly listed items. There is no need to spend money on something you already have.
I probably don’t need to tell you that this is also a fantastic way to pull together clothes for your kids. With the way they grow, it’s almost financially impossible to keep up; eBay is a great way to get gorgeous clothes at a steep discount.
