Use your flexible spending before you lose it (and get college savings too)

One of the many things I love about drugstore.com is that they have a page where you can see all over the counter items that qualify for FSA reimbursement.  Then, you can easily print a list of everything you've bought to submit to you provider and get reimbursed.

So, if you have some money left in your FSA account that you don't want to lose, shop through upromise.com to drugstore.com, and buy items you may need like cold medicine, diaper cream, etc.

Re: Use your flexible spending before you lose it (and get college savings too)

Thanks to Rebecca I just tried drugstore.com and what a great experience! I got free shipping, purchased products not available at the local drugstore chains and it came in no time at all which was impressive considering I ordered just before Xmas. I also got coupons in my order. I like the FSA feature that she mentioned and will use that now to get all my FSA spending in before year's end. Thank you so much for the tip!

How does the FSA account work?  Is this something available only through drugstore.com?

The FSA is something you sign up for through your employer. It allows you to put away money tax free at the beginning of the year. Then you use the money during the year to pay for eligible expenses, like doctor visits, prescriptions, and some otc products. Ask about it at work.
