New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

All,

We want to hear from you! What ideas do you have for improvements to the Upromise Community, Services, or Shopping Mall? How about new features that we should include? Share them here!

We'll be keeping an eye on this conversation to see what you think. If we develop and release something new, you can find it announced here.

Enjoy!

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

I have a few ideas....

We have Simon malls here.... what if we used a rechargable card like we can for Mc D's? Can that be an option with several retailers? We can enter the rechargable card's # and get savings???

Also, I applied for the Upromise credit card. But, it seems Chase is one of the banks in trouble. We have excellent credit. What  can we do?

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

How about savings for joining or belonging to a fitness institution or gym?  I belong to an organization that is open 24/7 and pay every month to be a member with no gain other than to try to stay healthy with some successes.  A lot of these gyms have facilities for us to bring our children to be watched while we are working out so how about a few gyms or maybe the Y's?

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

Great idea!  I took my kids to the babysitting room at my gym last weekend and agree...it'd be great to get a reward back for college on fees like that as well as the cost of the membership.  I'll pass this along to our partner development group.

Thanks.

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

Aliens2, a little more info from our business development team here at Upromise on adding gyms to the program:

We agree that fitness centers would make great partners for Upromise and our members! We have been working with several national fitness center companies, but these arrangements can take time.  Stay tuned!

I'll be sure to post information to the boards if and when this develops.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

Does Upromise have any plans to work with Tuition Rewards (www.tuitionrewards.com)?

A couple of other rewards programs do work with Tuition Rewards and it's nice to get my rewards doubled in the form of tuition rewards.I use those other reward programs as well, but I prefer Upromise for most of my transactions and this would be a great benefit. In fact the lack of Tuition Rewards is the only thing keeping me from using Upromise for everything reward-related.

Thanks!

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

We need more places where we can shop in-store (physically) with our registered cards and receive savings. Sometimes you just can't wait for an item you may need and can't wait on shipping and delivery. Just a suggestion...

Also, more gas stations. There is only one Exxon in my area and I only use it if I happen to be in the area. I do make sure I at least get the 20 gallons that are required for the savings. It would be so nice if there were others added to the list.

Re: New Services - Your Ideas and Announcements

Welcome to the community, VAMomof3!

Thanks for your feedback regarding Exxon.  I'm passing that on to the partner team here as they're extremely interested in what members are thinking and asking for.

As for brick and mortar stores, we hear you loud and clear.  We'll be adding a number of in-store options in September.  I'll be sure to announce that here in the community next month.

By the way, with some of our partners you can purchase a gift card online in order to get the college savings, and then use the gift card in-store to make your purchases.  Some of those stores are:

Sears.com

HomeDepot.com

Kmart.com

Here's a full list of Upromise partners that offer college savings on the online purchase of gift cards.

Again, welcome aboard and thanks for your feedback.  Please let us know if we can help in any way.
