You hit the nail on the head! I too patronize the companies that participate in Upromise because I believe they're better companies with whom to do business. If you support my children's academic opportunities, I will support your business, even if it costs a little more. I think too often people today focus on the bottom line at all costs and forget that you get what you pay for. I'm pretty frugal, and I shop around to compare prices, but I always purchase with the philosophy that I want the most value for my dollar. You buy cheap, you get cheap. You buy value, you get value. Value isn't always the cheapest, but it's usually the best return on investment. It kind of works with the phrase penny wise and dollar foolish.
The more people that participate in Upromise, the more companies will want the business from that large community so keep encouraging your friends and family to join, participate, and patronize the businesses the support you. That's the magic of Upromise. You'd think I worked for the company????
