My father is handicapped and I do not see a lot of stores that carry either handicapped clothing (velcro sides for pants, wide legs, easy to put on). I am sure I am not the only member with a relative or friend that requires special clothing or equipment.
Recently, I visited the auto section of Upromise since my dad is buying a new Honda Van to see if any of the sellers are listed. They are not. That would also be nice to see if maybe Upromise and the Auto buying program could get some ot the handicapped conversion companies to enlist. My dad has to purchase his vehicle from a handicapped conversion company (it is brand new and they must get them direct from the manufacturer then complete the changes and sell them to people who need assistance). This conversion is not the standard allowance that many car dealerships offer ($2000 or something) this is a complete custom conversion that cost $25,000 on top of the price of the vehicle.
Think about my special needs stores please.
