Tips for Finding Baby Bargains on eBay

ebay.pngYou can still score great deals on baby stuff on eBay. Before I tell you what to look for, three tips: First, always, always take shipping and handling into consideration. Second, always check the seller's rating to make sure you're dealing with someone who's going to follow through. And third, always look for the best retail deal you can find on the item. Try to beat that price.

Bargains to scout for on eBay:
  • Strollers and other baby gear. Try to beat the best retail price by 20%, including shipping.
  • "Lots" of children's' clothing. Buy a whole season's wardrobe in one shot! Bidding can be fierce.
  • Specialty infant formula. Make sure it's unopened and not expired. Expect heavy bidding.

I enjoyed your eBay tips. They are very much in line with the detailed information we include in the Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide found at http://www.MommyDaddySavers.com. I would, however, recommend using craigslist, freecycle, and yard sales for big items like strollers and cribs. You can get a much better deal than on eBay. Baby clothes are perfect for eBay. We average about $1 per item including total cost of shipping. Waaay cheaper than stores and even most yardsales.

I agree! And you can add Freepeats.org to the list of places to get free baby stuff, too. Free is hard to beat!
