I have read the previous questions and answers regarding this feature but find it clear as mud.
I pick the coupons I want, I click "activate" coupons, I shop during that calendar month for the specifc products mentioned in the coupons. Here is the part I am confused on - can I shop anywhere as long as my debit card is registered with Upromise? This was the impression I was under when I signed up but I suspect that it is FAR more difficult to redeem these coupons than I was originally led to believe.
For instance, Walgreens IS a partner with Upromise, but they do not offer a "store card" per se. Am I correct in now believing that I can NOT redeem the ecoupons at Walgreens if I use my registered debit/credit card?
Thank you in advance for helping to clear my confusion.

Assuming Walgreens is a member, they might do something like King Kullen grocery stores do. They do not have loyalty cards, but you can go up to the customer service desk and tell them that you're a UPromise member and they'll give you a keychain card to swipe that is specifically for UPromise.
edit: I see that Walgreens is an online shopping member, but maybe they're not a grocery member??
