Ebay contributions had always been 1% of the selling price - but I noticed in June 2009 that when I go from the Upromise site to Ebay - the screen shows ebay as a 2% contribution. However I just received the pending posts for my May/June purchases from Ebay, and they all were at 1%. Is ebay changing their contribution percentage to 2%? Or is there a mistake on the link?

I noticed too that eBay is now listed as a2% contribution... it may just be for a limited time (i hope it's permenant).
I guess it would depend on when your purchases were made and when they changed the contribution percentage ( I don't know what exact day it was). I don't buy as much on ebay as I used to (boy, the 2% would have been nice afew years ago when I did though).
Hopefully, somebody from Upromise can help... but, I do know too, before in the past I have boughten things from companies when they were offering Bonus Savings for a limited time, and when my savings was posted, the bonus savings wasn't included.... I just simply emailed Upromise using the "missing contributions" form, and they fixed the contributions. Maybe that is what you will have to do.

I contacted upromise. The percentage changed effective 6/11/09. I sent in a missing contribution form and when they emailed me back I explained the situation that I was missing the increased portion of the contribution. Upromise looked up all my ebay purchases between 6/11 - 6/29 and credited me for the difference. Thank you upromise!
Hopefully the next posting by ebay will be correct so I don't have to go thru this again. Seemed almost pointless when the adjustments on some of the purchases were only $.03.

Ros,
That's 3 cents you don't have to earn on something else. EVERY Little bit counts.

Quick question. Do I have use the UPromise link to ebay to get the 1% or can I just go to ebay and use paypal that is linked to my credit card that I registered with upromise? Same goes for any other site for example target.com do i have to use the link or if I buy from target.com using a registered card do I get the contribution.
Thank you
Ron

You either need to start first at upromise.com to link to ebay or target.com or install the upromise turbosaver on your computer to get the savings. However I don't think you have to pay with a registerd card to get the online shopping contributions from these two retailers.
I would suggest looking up and reading the merchant details for each vendor you are interested in shopping thru. Every merchant/services does it differently. You need to read the fine print to know which hoops to jump thru to get the contribution. Once you figure it out - it is easy watching the savings grow! Also read the community posts - I have gotten lots of savings suggestion from here.

I believe ebay.com is one of the sites that you have to start at the UPromise website - it is NOT compatible with Turbosaver.
