How to earn from Ebay

I do alot of shopping on Ebay and never have earned a thing. I do go through the upromise site first, then taken to paypal to pay for my items. Anyone have any ideas why I am not recieving my 1%? Right now for this year I would have saved almost $10, its not much, but its would have been something.

And thanks to everyone for showing me other great ways to save.....order online, pick up at store.

Your ebay pruchases will show up at the end of the following month-For example, I purchased items 8/07 and I just received the pending noticed on 10/30/07. The key is to go to the Upromise site before, click on ebay and do all of your browsing and watching. If you brows without going thru uppromise you will not get credit. I hope this helps!

I always shop thru Ebay. Sometimes I have problems with items showing up. I just save everything I purchase in a folder and check on it. It takes sometimes 60 days for it to show. I browse and purchase without going thru the upromise link, however when I purchase the items with paypal I make sure to delete all my cookies and history on my computer and then sign in to upromise then ebay and make the purchase. This way I know that there are no other cookies on my computer pointing to another site other than upromise and I made a direct connection to ebay. If you have a few items that don't show up after 60 days then just go to the bottom of upromise page and do contact us. You can send them you receipt online and then they will research and credit you account.

Can someone explain where on the computer I need to go to see cookies and how to delete them?

I usually don't have a problem getting online purchases to show up in my upromise account... Kohls.com, Leapfrog.com, Diapers.com, OneHanesplace, Magazines.com are all very quick to post. But my purchases from ebay have not shown up yet. It has only been about 40 day (purchase on 5/3/08), so perhaps I have not waited longer enough yet.

At the top of your computer where you see file, edit, view, favorites, tools and help. select tools, go to internet options. You will see a delete history, temp files, cookies, etc, you can do this all at once delete these each day or just before you sign on to upromise to make a purchase. Also under tools is pop-up blocker. Select turn off pop-up blocker. This keeps you from earning credit thru upromise. You know when you select a website thru them and a small window pops up tells you of sales and showing you how much credit you will receive, you will not see this if pop-up blocker is on, nor will you get credit.

Also, ebay takes a long time. I usually wait 60 days and if they have not shown up I email then with a copy of my information in the email and then I get credit. I am a member of bondrewards and mypoints also and I still have problem with ebay thru these sites also.

Hi, I can't get EBay to post rewards for me either. What do you mean by send "them" your "information?" Could you be more specific? Thanks!

I save the paid receipts in an email and if I do not see the credit for them show up. I go to contact us and online purchases. You fill out the company you purchased from and in the body you cut and paste the receipt from your ebay purchase. In about 5 days you will hear back from customer care at upromise. Sometimes they require you to fax / mail in your receipts to them. Most of the time if you only have one or two you can submit them via email (they will send you a email stating to fax / mail in but this is a form letter) disregard this and you will get another email stating they are looking into the problem. The contact us is at the bottom of the upromise page. From here state missing contributions, and follow the instructions.

Re: How to earn from Ebay

I was wondering the same thing until this week...my eBay purchases finally started hitting!  And now I see everything piling up!  I love the eBay savings!  Just takes a longer time for savings to post.  I would definitely suggest to everyone to download the Upromise TurboSaver to all the computers that you use.  Because if you do eBay a lot, it's a hastle to go through the upromise site every stinking time!  Great time saver for a quick download!

Re: How to earn from Ebay

I have to admit I'm starting to doubt my decision to join Upromise.  Amazon doesn't participate, my grocery stores are listed but I never buy any of the (limited) products that qualify, and ebay sounds like it's far more trouble than it's worth.  I don't want to have to fax or mail info to Upromise -- that costs money and defeats the purpose.  Having to delete computer cookies all the time seems a bit tedious.  And I've learned you have to call to cancel Upromise, and that you have to mail in a form to get a check, and that will take at least 12 weeks to get.

I'm willing to listen if anybody disagrees and says it's worthwhile!  But online I shop more at Amazon than anywhere else.  If I buy books from B&N online, I have to pay tax and shipping, so I'm better off continuing to buy at Amazon, I think.

Thoughts?
