ENERGY PLUS

Does anyone know anything about the upromise Energy Plus program?  I am considering switching over to it, but haven't heard any reviews thus far.

Re: ENERGY PLUS

I was also thinking about switching, I even checked out their website. I wanted to know what their

energy rates were, could not find anything on website, so tried to e-mail them. I never got a response back, that was in the summer. If anyone has signed up or has more info, please post here.

Thanks, Bob

Re: ENERGY PLUS

Hello,

There is a page for Energy Plus on our site which gives a quick run down of the program. There is also a link below which shows what other Upromise members are saying about Energy Plus.

Re: ENERGY PLUS

Hi.  I have a little bit of info that might help.  I called Energy Plus' 1-800 # and actually spoke with a very helpful gentleman that went through a lot of helpful info step by step for me.  I think that calling and speaking with an individual would help answer a lot of questions that you might have....I know that it did for me!

Re: ENERGY PLUS

This is an interesting program.  Unfortunately it is only available to New Yorkers.  Does anybody know if you can sign up New York friends and it will count in your account?

Re: ENERGY PLUS-SCAM

after signing up for just one month - my bill went up $100, this is with using less KW that month, same with 6 others of my family I had switch - with the promise of lowering monthly bills.

I called Engery plus and after asking to speak with a supervisor and being transfered 6 times - I finally got it cancelled - but I have to be with them another 30 days for it takes that long for paperwork - geeze.

So I called NYSEG asked them the average $/kw for June - only 5 cents and EP charged 9 cents plus...OOCH..

needless to say, I AM GETTING A REFUND of the difference - this month and next.

CALL AND GET YOUR REFUND!

Re: ENERGY PLUS-SCAM

Hello "handymom",

I am an Energy Plus Supervisor was very concerned to hear about your experience. I would love to review your situation in detail.  Please send me a private message (click my name to the left of this post) and provide your name and the best time to reach you and we will follow up as soon as possible. We do offer a market-rate product whereby we buy electricity every day at the best possible price and use that price to set our rate so we can be as competitively priced as possible. We cannot speak to why the utility companies sometimes have lower rates than ours.  Over the long-run, we find that our rates are competitive.  Rates also do vary across the state of New York so one customer's experience is not indicative of all regions.  We encourage customers to contact us to discuss their specific location and compare our rates against the rates they are paying.  We also do not charge cancellation fees nor lock customers into a contract so that they can try our service and cancel at any time without penalty.

Re: ENERGY PLUS-SCAM

well let me tell you about this months bill, yes it takes 60 days to get off your system.

Let us see - you charge me 12 cents per kwh and I called NYSEG and if I had stayed with them I would have paid .042 cents per kwh - so you tell me where the savings is.

How is .12 cents even compare to .042 cents - its 3 times as much - are you kidding me!

I have already made my phone calls and getting my $170 REFUND CHECK from you -

I HOPE YOU ALL DO THIS - get your money back - whys pend $170 for $1.25 upromise savings - someones math is just a bit off!
