Bad Credit

How does someone with bad credit get the most out of upromise?  I didn't qualify for the credit card.

Thanks

Re: Bad Credit

If you have a depit card, you can register that.  Buy anything you can online using the debit card (but treat is like a credit card).  Eat out using your debit card.  Buy gasoline, groceries... Look up the Ways to Earn.

Also, e-Rewards gives you money for answering surveys online.  You must register through UPromise.  Just put eRewards int he search box.

Hello kcinpgh ,

The Upromise credit card is not the only way to save with Upromise. I can give you three hints on the best ways: grocery, gas and online shopping.

Check out our eCoupons area under ways to earn to see the eCoupons for grocery stores. When you use these, the coupon value will be transferred into your Upromise account upon use. Everyone buys groceries!

Make sure to register your other debit and credit cards with us because if you guy gas at Exxon or Mobile, you can earn .01 back on every gallon when using one of your registered cards. It adds up.

When you shop online, make sure to start at Upromise. Even better, download our TurboSaver shopping savings reminder to make sure you can get % back from partners when you shop online.

Let me know if you have any other questions about other parts of our service. There are hundreds of ways to save!

Re: Bad Credit

Does Bank of America have a secured card? What about if I open a savings account with them? Or can Upromise partner with a secured card company?

Another way to get Upromise savings is with the McDonald's Arch card. When you buy the McDonald's Arch card & register it with Upromise, you get the contribution on the amount that you load onto the card. The nice thing is that you only have to register the card once. After that, the new contributions automatically get posted to your Upromise account every time you reload the card.

Also, watch for special bonus offers that Upromise comes out with every so often. There are lots of opportunities to get extra savings without using a credit card. Oh, you might also want to invite friends & family to join to help you save. If they don't want to start their own Upromise accounts, then give them your "Personalized Guest Shopping Link" (which you can find in your account profile). If they click through your guest link when they shop online, then you will get the contributions on their purchases. I think you can even post your guest link on any social networking sites you belong to so that anyone can shop through it.
