Nothing in my area

Besides the Mc D's card, there are no participating restaurants in my area. How often is this info updated. The city I live in is not small but don't feel like driving 150 miles for a Upromise dining experience

Hi Brammy,
Our partner, Rewards Network, has a sales team dedicated to recruiting local restaurants to participate. Please check the site often, as they are always adding new merchants. Also keep in mind that you can (and should!) check the website before you travel, so that you can find participating restaurants in the destinations you visit for work or vacation. Good luck and thanks for your interest!

Call rewards network and give them a list of every restaurant you'd go to in your area. If you feel comfortable, ask those same places if they'd be interested in joining and have them call the network.

It works in so far as they take the info you provide. I have no way of knowing if they follow up on it, or if restaurants join as a result. I am not aware of being able to email, but that would sure make it easier. I'd suggest giving it a shot, nothing to lose.

My understanding is that certain restuarants have loans with a company that requires them to be part of the Rewards network to increase revenue. Once that loan is over--or the terms are met--they no longer have to participate. I am not positive about this, but I asked at a restuarant once and that is what they told me. I have noticed the places come and go on the Upromise list. Perhaps a Upromise staffer could answer this one? I'm sorry that some people have so few places to choose from. I have over 80 places within 15 miles--but I live near Denver. My guess is that major metropolotain areas will have the best results. Remember to use these places when you travel. When you travel you are more or less forced to eat out, so we always check the website berfore we take trips and print off the list.

Re: Nothing in my area

When I find a restaurant I like but they are not on Upromise I visit their website to tell them about my experience and send about Upromise. I include the business sign up link found on the restaurant section. This way they can read about it for themselves. This way upper management gets the message instead of the store manager, who would not control that.

I think we should all work together to pursue a particular chain or restaurant to partner and be a member!

The comment from commo2 is the perfect idea!!!!!!!!

I think Upromise should supply an email template with the joining link and we can add our personal message to work in numbers to make companies join!
