Grocery shopping edge

I buy any non-perishable (or freezer able) product that is on sale, and that I have a coupon for in mass quantities.  I seem to get more bang for the buck than if I were to go buy in bulk at a Costco or Sam's club.  Take for example toilet paper.  About once every couple of months there is a sale on the toilet paper I like to use that knocks it down to half off.  I clip coupons every chance I get, use Upromise ecoupons and use shortcuts.com.  I use the coupon and buy at a store that does double coupons, and end up barely spending anything at all on each package and it lasts me until the next sale.

Every time that there is a buy one get one free on meat, I stock up on several and cook a couple meals that week and then freeze the rest.

I have made a game out of saving money and it is always fun to check my receipt and see I have saved $50-80 on every trip between $100-300 on stuff I would HAVE to buy (no, not on the stuff that looks good or that is being advertised).

This method is especially important if you have small children in diapers, on formula or baby food.  DO NOT ever buy baby products at full price.  There are always sales or coupons to be found for any and all baby products.

Re: Grocery shopping edge

Before the economic downfall, I did not see too many people using coupons.  Now that there is economic trouble, I see a lot of people using coupons.  I use coupons for everything I buy.  I especially like getting the coupons for baby products.  In the long run, they do save you a lot cash.
